Summit (pt 1)

To crest the mountain
I spent years,
             decades.

Every crag,
crevice,
             crater

I fell into

And every hill,
highland,
                hummock

I overcame.

For this Peak, but
now that I have
        Reached the summit
I know.

Here I am truly alone
and afraid.
